Welcome to the UNL Mass Spectrometry Facility
NCMS is a state of the art mass
spectrometric facility whose primary function is to serve the needs of the University
of Nebraska research community. A secondary focus is to provide fee-based
MS services to the research community at large, both industrial and academic.
Currently we have seven instruments available for analysis that provide
a range of ionization techniques for sample analysis. They include electron
ionization (EI), chemical ionization (CI), fast atom bombardment (FAB), electrospray
ionization (ESI) and matrix-assisted laser desorption (MALDI). Additionally,
multiple MS experiments (MSn) for sequencing are also available.
The main facility is currently housed on the 7th floor of Hamilton Hall in rooms 718 and 717 with a satellite location in the basement, room 18. The phone number is (402) 472-3507. Questions may also be emailed to the
