Welcome to the UNL Mass Spectrometry Facility

The Nebraska Center for Mass Spectometry is a state of the art mass spectrometric facility whose primary function is to serve the needs of the University of Nebraska research community.  A secondary focus is to provide fee-based MS services to the research community at large, both industrial and academic.

Currently we have seven instruments available for analysis that provide a range of ionization techniques for sample analysis.  They include electron ionization (EI), chemical ionization (CI), fast atom bombardment (FAB), electrospray ionization (ESI) and matrix-assisted laser desorption (MALDI).  Additionally, multiple MS experiments (MSn) for sequencing are also available.

Contact Information:

The facility is currently housed in the basement of  Hamilton Hall in rooms 18, 22 and 25.  The phone number is (402) 472-3507 and the fax number is (402) 472-0132.  Questions may also be emailed to the lab director
